Welcome . . .

I have been writing professionally for more than 30 years with 15 published volumes of non-fiction in print, all dealing with aspects of Chicago city history, politics, sports, ethnicity, and urban crime.

Rich Lindberg

I have shared my personal and professional background with additional insight into the world of book writing, agents, and publishing as I have known it all of these years in the various articles I have posted to this site

You will also find a collection of my writings, information about my published books and how to order them, personal thoughts, reflections on childhood and further observations about the business of book writing.

Your comments, questions and suggestions are always welcome. However, because of time constraints and a hectic schedule of writing, working and speaking to libraries and membership groups I can no longer respond to specific requests asking me to read and evaluate sample chapters of manuscripts sent to me by writers looking to break into print, or individuals soliciting advice or wanting me to network them with publishers and agents. The articles you will find on the site candidly address some of the publishing pitfalls and industry issues and should be of some help for prospective book authors. For other questions or comments, please send me an .

I appreciate your interest in my work and I value your friendship and support.
